Stanford Engineering
As Stanford Engineering enters their next century, they will forge ahead as they always have: fearlessly, together, moving the world forward because they were engineered to. In 2025, its Centennial Year, the team at Stanford Engineering wanted to reinvigorate their community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni by creating a campaign for use across campus events.
Engineering isn’t defined by the finished result, but by the ten, twelve, or thirty versions that lead to it—the sketches, the missteps, and the prototypes. “The Engineered S,” the centerpiece of the Centennial brand, symbolizes the continual refinement of thought and innovation that has driven Stanford engineers for the past century.
MY ROLE...
was to develope a new visual system rooted in Stanford Engineering’s heritage, providing a comprehensive toolkit for their internal team to produce varied assets, including a bespoke centennial timeline. I directed the motion design for the iconic ‘S’ shapes and oversaw a junior designer in executing a suite of digital, print, and large-scale environmental media.
